Silca Exposure

Silica dust exposure is a serious concern in many industries, including construction and manufacturing. The dust is created when materials like sand and rock are cut, drilled, or ground, and it can be harmful to inhale. Prolonged exposure to silica dust can lead to lung disease, including silicosis, lung cancer, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

At Allseal, we take the issue of silica dust exposure very seriously and have implemented strict protocols to minimize the risk to our employees. This includes using engineering controls such as water or ventilation systems to reduce dust emissions, providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to employees who work with silica-containing materials, and conducting regular air quality testing.

We also provide training and education to our employees on the hazards of silica dust exposure and how to protect themselves. Our goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees while they are at work.

Air Monitoring

At All Seal, safety is the foundation of everything we do. Our team follows strict work health and safety procedures to ensure every project site is a secure environment for both our workers and the community.

From the moment we begin preparations to the final concrete finish, we take a proactive approach to hazard prevention, providing our staff with the appropriate training, personal protective equipment, and safe work methods to minimise risks at every stage.

One of the key areas of focus in our safety strategy is air quality management. Concrete work can generate airborne dust and particles, so we use advanced, real-time air monitoring systems to track site conditions throughout the day.

These systems provide instant feedback, allowing us to take immediate action—such as increasing ventilation, adjusting work practices, or applying dust suppression measures—if air quality levels approach unsafe thresholds.
